ESRI Databank of Economic Time-SeriesThis databank is based on the data contained in the National Income and Expenditure 2010 volume. However, it also contains a very wide range of other time series that have been used in constructing the Medium Term Model (HERMES) and in a range of other related research. The data are all annual time series. While we have tried to have series from at least 1960 (or 1970 for some unpublished national accounts data) to the latest published date available, in many cases it was impossible to obtain historical data for the 1960s and 1970s. There are also a few series that go back to earlier dates, the earliest dating from 1927 (migration). The databank is currently available in a number of different formats: · It is available in a single excel spreadsheet ESRIDBNIE10.xlsx. In Addition, excel spreadsheet FINALVARSNIE10.xlsx includes a subset of ‘final’ variables from the databank, which are used in the HERMES model. All the series are listed in alphabetical order. · The primary format is as a TROLL file (available on request) – NIE10.TRL. · It is also available in an ASCII format. This file is called NIE10FRM.FRM. Current databankThe current version of the ESRI databank is Version NIE10, November 2012. Authorised users may access the files by entering a username and password below. For further information or to request access to the databank, contact databank@esri.ie. Conditions of UseThe ESRI cannot accept any liability for problems with the data contained in the databank. The databank is supplied for the purposes of academic research and teaching only. The users agree not to use it for any form of funded work without written permission from the ESRI. The databank is released to individual researchers and should not be passed on without permission. Subsets of the data can be used for teaching purposes without further permission. Students need to get their thesis supervisors to apply for access on their behalf. The databank is available for free for academic research and to corporate members of the ESRI. There is an administrative charge of €1,000 plus VAT @ 23% to non-corporate members. Data Archive Login
