Teachers’ Professional Journeys: The First Decade

This study is the first longitudinal study of teachers in Ireland. It will involve research with three cohorts of graduates from initial teacher education, covering primary, post-primary and further education. The study is funded by the Teaching Council and the Department of Education. It is being led by Professor Paul Conway (PI), University of Limerick, with Emer Smyth and Professor Aisling Leavy, Mary Immaculate College, acting as co-PIs. The study will run until 2028/29.
