The Impact of Minimum Unit Alcohol Pricing on Individual and Household Alcoholic Behaviours
As an Understanding Society Research Data Fellow, Dr Gretta Mohan will examine the impact of the introduction of the world’s first national Minimum Unit Alcohol Pricing policy in Scotland in 2018 on individual and household alcohol behaviours. Inequalities arising from the policy will be considered e.g., whether there are differential effects for low-income households. The evaluation aims to inform policy development in the jurisdictions for which it has been implemented (e.g., Republic of Ireland in January 2022), as well as for those contemplating its implementation.
