Data for monitoring integration: Gaps, challenges and opportunities
An event was held to present conclusions from new research outlining the challenges and opportunities presented by survey data and data held by government for measuring migrant integration. The study covers challenges such as data gaps, which can make it difficult to monitor how well migrants integrate into Irish society. More effective monitoring can make it easier to identify where migrants need more support.
Úna Ní Dhubhghaill, Principal Officer in the Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration, Department of Justice and Equality, also commented on the report’s findings.
