Gender and Labour Market Inclusion on the island of Ireland
This event will launch a new ESRI report titled Gender and Labour Market Inclusion on the island of Ireland.
This report draws on a consultation with key stakeholders and analysis of labour force survey data to identify the barriers and opportunities to women’s labour market participation on the island of Ireland. In both jurisdictions, it explores the impact of policies, education, demographic characteristics, household types, sectors, and attitudes on labour market participation and the working conditions of women and men in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
This research is part of a joint research programme between the Department of the Taoiseach’s Shared Island Unit and the ESRI on the economic and social opportunities from increased cooperation on the Shared Island.
