Webinar: Shared Island - A North-South comparison of education and training systems: lessons for policy
Taoiseach Micheál Martin T.D will launch this report titled A North-South comparison of education and training systems: lessons for policy.
This report is the first study to systematically compare the education systems in Ireland and Northern Ireland from primary to tertiary levels. It draws on international and national survey data, administrative data, interviews with policy stakeholders and input from a consultation with stakeholders to document commonalities and differences between the two systems. It is hoped that the study findings will provide insights for future policy learning in both jurisdictions.
At this webinar, the report authors will present their findings. This will be followed by a panel response and a Q&A segment.
This research is part of a joint research programme between the Department of the Taoiseach’s Shared Island Unit and the ESRI on the economic and social opportunities from increased cooperation on the Shared Island.
