Webinar: The potential costs and distributional effect of COVID-19 related unemployment in Ireland
Join the ESRI this Thursday, 9 April at 2pm for the first in a series of webinars where our researchers discuss policy issues related to the upcoming Budget. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this series of webinars replaces our planned Budget Perspectives Conference 2021. It is more important than ever that the ESRI continues releasing up-to-date research during this period of uncertainty and therefore we are committed to digital delivery of our annual conference.
This Thursday, Karina Doorley will present a paper titled 'The potential costs and distributional effect of COVID-19 related unemployment in Ireland' on Zoom. This investigates the direct impact on households’ incomes and the exchequer of a range of unemployment shocks, along with that of policy measures announced in recent weeks. A 10-minute presentation will be followed by a Q and A session in which all attendees are encouraged to participate.
The paper itself will be available to read on our website that morning.
This event is now at capacity. We have decided to live stream the seminar on our YouTube channel at 2pm. Please subscribe at the link and tune in at 2pm, we will take questions via that medium and pass them along to Karina Doorley, her colleague Barra Roantree and our MC Alan Barrett, ESRI Director.
A video of the webinar can be viewed below. For other videos by the ESRI, please see our Youtube channel.
