Prof Selina McCoy, alongside Prof Delma Byrne (Maynooth University, Geary Institute of Public Policy, UCD) and Prof Pat O’Connor (University of Limerick, Geary Institute of Public Policy, UCD) discuss their findings which show that assessments on nine-year-olds' performances - specifically in maths - provide evidence of gender bias operating in favour of boys.
