The effect of “smoky” coal bans on chronic lung disease among older people in Ireland

Using data from the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) over the period 2010-2018, this study found that the ban on smoky coal in Ireland led to a significant reduction in the probability of chronic lung disease in older people.
