Society of Actuaries in Ireland awards Honorary Fellowship to Professor Pete Lunn
Last month the Society of Actuaries in Ireland announced that it elected Professor Pete Lunn, founder and head of the ESRI’s Behavioural Research Unit, as an Honorary Fellow.
Sheelagh Malin, President of the Society, said that Professor Lunn’s research into economic decision-making and how consumers navigate complex financial products provides valuable insights that can help ensure more effective regulation and communication.
She also noted the meaningful contribution that Professor Lunn and his team have made to the management of the pandemic, by monitoring attitudes and behavioural responses to COVID restrictions and disease prevention measures.
Professor Lunn was presented with his Honorary Fellowship at the Society’s Annual Convention on 29th September.
