David Simpson

David Simpson was a Research Officer in the ESRI from 1965 until 1967. Prior to that he was employed at the Department of Political Economy at University College London. He later worked for the Statistical Office of the United Nations in New York. Following a number of academic appointments, he became the founding Director of the Fraser of Allander Institute in 1975, and from then until 1988 he was a Professor of Economics at the University of Strathclyde.
