Nora Donnelly
Nora Donnelly joined the ESRI as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in October 2016. Nora completed her PhD in Health Services Research at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Nora holds an MSc (Applied Social Research) from Trinity College Dublin and an MA (Soc Sci Politics) from the University of Glasgow. Nora’s PhD thesis examines the role of family carer stress in long-term care admissions.
Nora’s research interests include ageing, caregiving and the determinants of healthcare utilisation, particularly long-term care. Previously, Nora worked with the National Centre for the Protection of Older People and the School of Public Health in UCD. She also worked with GOAL evaluating the impact of HIV/AIDS and disability health services.
Nora is currently working on the HRB funded StrokeCog study which aims to model and modify the consequences of stroke-related cognitive impairment.
