Sharon Walsh

Sharon Walsh was a research assistant in the energy and environment research group from July 2011 to July 2013. She worked primarily on domestic energy demand modelling using microdata from Ireland's smart metering trial and spatial modelling on a variety of topics.Sharon is currently a PhD Candidate in the National University of Ireland, Galway. Her thesis aims to provide a comprehensive economic analysis of higher education participation in Ireland. It aims to examine the factors influencing the decision of school leavers to choose between higher education institutions in Ireland, as well as assess student preferences for different higher education funding models.
