Analysis of Tax and Welfare Policies
Several papers in the area of tax and welfare are planned for 2019. We will examine the impact of a carbon tax on households and examine potential compensatory mechanisms as well as examining how much the tax and benefit system closes the gender earnings gap. We will also examine the changes in recent year to the One Parent Family Payment and assess if they met the aim of increasing employment rates of lone parents.
