Philip Carthy
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Philip Carthy joined the Economic Analysis division as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in May 2024. His research at the ESRI forms part of the Maximising the Flexibility of Energy Consumption in Ireland (FlexECon) project and focuses on consumer behaviour in energy markets. Philip completed a PhD in Economics at University College Dublin (UCD). Prior to this, he was a Research Assistant at the ESRI, where he contributed to work that formed part of the Institute’s Programme of Research in Communications, and Environment Research Programme. He also holds a BA in Economics and Mathematical Studies and an MSc in Quantitative Economics both also awarded by UCD.
