Oireachtas Joint Committee on Justice and Equality meets with ESRI researchers
On Wednesday, 26 September ESRI researchers Helen Russell and Frances McGinnity spoke to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Justice and Equality to discuss the 38th amendment of the Irish Constitution related to the role of women. They spoke about ESRI research on gender roles and the distribution of paid work and care in Irish society.
The committee shadows the Department of Justice and Equality and considers policy in the fields of justice, security, the rule of law and equality to ensure that Irish society is safe, secure, just, open-minded and impartial.
