Olga Poluektova
Olga Poluektova joined ESRI in 2021 as a postdoctoral research fellow at Behavioural Research Unit, after completing her doctoral training at the Bremen Graduate School of Social Sciences. Her doctoral research focused on the roles of self-efficacy and problem-focused coping potential in the socioeconomic achievement gap. With a background in social and personality psychology, Olga is interested in how our knowledge of the psychological mechanisms underlying judgement, decision-making and behaviour can be used to inform solutions aimed at improving people’s life experiences.
Before starting her Ph.D. studies, Olga completed her master’s degree at Higher School of Economics in Moscow, held appointments as a market researcher and a lecturer in social and cross-cultural psychology.
