Michelle Barrett

Michelle joined the ESRI as a Research Assistant in October 2021. She holds a MSc in Health Economics and a BA in Economics, Sociology, Politics and Human Rights, both from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Her thesis employed a simulation model to estimate the expected cost of several alternative COVID-19 serial testing programmes in a higher education institution.  

Michelle has previously worked as a Health Economist Intern in the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). Her work at the ESRI focused on equality, poverty and living standards.
